At Ennismore Inn & Resort there is a playground for children with swings, a slide, a merry-go-round, a sandy beach and a diving platform in the lake. We also have outdoor shuffleboard, badminton, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking, and jogging. Two 18-hole golf courses are within a five-minute drive. Cards, books, magazines and a big-screen TV for movies provide indoor relaxation.
Because of the fresh air and restful surroundings at Ennismore Inn & Resort, meal times are eagerly awaited and enjoyed in our pine-paneled dining room overlooking the lake. Guests can start their day with breakfast from a varied menu, enjoy a relaxing lunch and; after their day's activities, sit down to one of our dinner specials. We have 14' Aluminum boat and motor rentals available, or you can bring your own boat and dock it in our weather-protected harbour. There are also free electric hook-ups at docks as well as ramp and gas facilities. Enjoy a scenic tour through the adjoining lakes on our 10-12 passenger pontoon boat.
Our fish-cleaning shack can accommodate 10 people comfortably. It has running water, electricity for electric knives, a fish freezer; and is fully screened.
We do accept pets providing owners follow our guidelines concerning them. Pets must be leashed at all times and are not permitted on the beach, in the playground area or in public buildings. Owners are required to keep their pets quiet at all times and must clean up after them. Failure to comply will result in termination of your stay.

Activities For Kids
We have playground equipment for kids and a safe, sandy beach. First-time fishermen can catch small pan fish right off the dock. Young nature lovers will enjoy our population of frogs and turtles. There is lots of space for bike riding and a large open field, perfect for kite flying. Our large wooded area is ideal for exploring nature. A large selection of children's movies and a big-screen TV in the lounge is just the thing for rainy days.
Activities For Teens & Adults
Kids aren't the only ones who have fun at Ennismore Inn & Resort. Outdoor activities such as horseshoes, badminton, shuffleboard and hiking allow teens and adults alike to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Swimming and boating are favorites for all ages. A short drive takes you in to Peterborough where teens can enjoy a water park, go cart track and paint ball game. Wednesday night bingo, Friday night campfire, and a Saturday night entertainment add to the list of activities.
Boating
For the enjoyment of all of our guests, kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats are available at no charge.
For those interested in fishing or exploring Pigeon Lake, we have 14-foot aluminum fishing boats with motors available for rent.
Larger groups of 10 to 12 wishing to tour and explore the lake can rent our 20' pontoon boat. Guests with private boats can make use of our excellent launching and docking facilities.
Fishing
Regardless of how seriously you take your fishing, Pigeon Lake provides some of the best angling opportunities in the Kawarthas. Ennismore Inn & Resort offers fish cleaning and freezing facilities, rod and reel rentals as well as bait and tackle sales.
Whether you're a veteran angler in search of that elusive trophy or a newcomer to the sport of fishing, Pigeon Lake has it all. Muskie, carp, bass, panfish and pickerel (a.k.a. walleye) abound.
Hiking
At Ennismore Inn & Resort you can take in the abundance of birds, animals and wildflowers as you explore the 20 acres of wooded area on our property.
Water Activities
Ennismore Inn & Resort is on the shores of beautiful Pigeon Lake and offers a full range of water-based activities for you and your family. We have our own private sandy beach, ideal for children. During the summer months, the crystal-clear lake reaches the perfect temperature for swimming and water sports.
If you prefer you can enjoy our complimentary canoes and kayaks and explore Pigeon Lake. You can rent a boat and go fishing, or just cast your line off our docks.
